Damon Schwartz (Pace Law School and Vis Moot alum) will be interviewing Professor Dr. Klaus Peter Berger, LL.M., author of the Creeping Codification of the New Lex Mercatoria, about his latest project -- the Trans-Lex.org website.
Damon Schwartz, Pace Law School and Vis Moot alum, currently clerking at the U.S. Court of International Trade for the Honorable Judge Delissa A. Ridgway, will be interviewing Professor Dr. Klaus Peter Berger, LL.M., author of the Creeping Codification of the New Lex Mercatoria, about his latest project -- the Trans-Lex.org website.
The Trans-Lex.org is a free research and codification platform for transnational law developed by Professor Berger and the Center for Transnational Law at the University of Cologne.
The Trans-Lex.org is a compilation of international private and public law principles, case law and arbitral decisions, national legislation, and scholarly articles. Damon will be speaking with Professor Berger about how the idea for the website came about, the various features of the website, user feedback, how the online materials are kept current, and much more. As the Trans-Lex.org is nearing its one year anniversary, Professor Berger will also discuss potential changes and improvements to the website.

Adj. Prof. Christopher Kee, LL.B. BA. (Hons) (Deakin), Grad Dip Laws (UQ) will be presenting A Guide to Oral Argument in International Moot Competitions lecture. It is intended for students, coaches, and professors involved in International Moot Competitions, with a particular emphasis on the Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot and the Jessup International Moot.
Christopher Kee is a Senior Researcher and Co-author of the Global Sales Law Project, Universitat Basel, and an Adjunct Professor at City University, Hong Kong. He is a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of Australia and the Supreme Courts of Victoria and New South Wales and specializes in international arbitration and international sales law. Christopher was a member of the ACICA (Australian Center for International Commercial Arbitration) Rules drafting committee, and is an immediate past Co-Chair of AFIA (Australasian Forum for International Arbitration). He has been a member of the APRAG (Asia Pacific Regional Arbitration Group) delegation to the UNCITRAL (UN Commission on International Trade Law) Rules Revision Working Group since 2007.
Christopher has authored a book on mooting called "The Art of Argument" published by Cambridge University Press.
