After twenty-years, the largest online library of CISG materials hosted by Pace Law-IICL received an upgrade, migrating in April 2017 into a customized software application. In this video, Vikki Rogers, managing editor of the Pace-IICL CISG Database, provides an overview of the design process, as well as a description of the organzation and new research functionalities in the Database. In addition to highlighting these new features, she highlights the need for researchers to remain diligent as they use the new Database given that there are still additional formatting issues to be "cleaned-up" within the collection resulting from the migration process. To this end, the original Database has been archived and can be accessed by users at any time. She also draws attention to the multiple features within the Database that enable users to become actively involved in Database by uploading new cases, scholarly work or case comments. The video should be viewed by persons before they engage in their CISG research on the new platform.
For libraries and other groups interested in a more detailed presentation regarding CISG research on the platform contact Vikki at firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange an online tour.
